Flower and Garden Festival

Epcot has this annual flower and garden festival. Alicia, Carlos and I planted our feet on the Epcot grounds. We all managed to avoid soiling ourselves as Carlos and Alicia captured bunches of photos of me. Here are some bloomin' good photos...

I held a ball,

Daisy was totally jealous of me,

my shorts camouflaged with the Chipmunk garden,

Alicia and I winged a pose,

I woke up and smelt the flowers,

I paws-ed for a photo with Pluto,

Mater and I bucked the smiles trend,

I was the mini one in the garden,

Elsa and Anna let it grow (pun credit goes to an overheard guest),

sun stroke began to take its toll,

I performed The Waltz of the Flowers,

and held down a balloon with Pooh.

Deer me, we were all having a thumpin' good time,

it was all goin' down, yelling Simba,

Snow White didn't move, but we did dance.

Then it was off to work we grow.

Miss Twiggy photo bombed,

and then I discovered an exposed Woody,

and I unearthed another ball.

The sisters couldn't charm their way into the royals' garden party.

Our reputations were sullied so much we crashed a monstrous gathering.

Following that shindig we were able to light up the party with Lumiere and Cogsworth.

Fern-ally it was time to leaf the festival fun behind.

Family Matters

Once again Paige and I spent time with our adoptive families. First it was Paige's mum and her friend's turn to visit. Beth and Debbie used to live close, but now regularly take the time to meet halfway. Paige and I have decided to do the same thing once we part for Kentucky and Australia. Somewhere in the Pacific Ocean will be our halfway.

With my newly met adopted family members (and my fellow Aussie Pizza Planetear, Alex) I went Downtown. I had a delicious milkshake, but also regretfully consumed the glacĂ© cherry on top. Those things are equally disgusting all over the world.

The next day it was time to tackle the Magic Kingdom with a few fast passes. It was a real battle through the crowds on the monorail.

 I DFEMed for lunch.

We watched the Festival of Fantasy Parade accompanied by Florida's famous sun rays.

Then we shook our tail feathers and conga lined our way through the Move It, Shake It and various other verbs parade.

I ate some beastly lamb for dinner, followed by dessert that was a real beauty.

Somewhere along the way Paige's mum provided us with further DFEM opportunities.

Mr Vader viewed with disgust while also hypocritically holding onto his own dessert.

For the final meal with my adopted family we went to Via Napoli at faux Italy. I, of course had to compare the pizza to Pizza Planet's.

Just for the record Pizza Planet pizza is best. That's primarily because you have the privilege of potentially seeing me when you purchase your pizza at our fine establishment. Who doesn't love a side of Australian charm with their meal?

A week later it was Paige's turn to spend time with her adopted family. Alicia and Carlos were back and wanted to dine at the Boardwalk.

Paige and I hadn't sampled the cuisine at the Flying Fish and tried our luck. We were in at the Chef's table.

Upon glancing at the menu Carlos decided he "wasn't hungry" and the rest of us realised it was one of those fill up on free carbs, order an appetiser and splash out on free water kind of places. When they present your free beverages in fancy glassware you know the place wasn't designed for CPs. They didn't give a flying fish what they charged us.

Another glance at the menu also saw an offering of the Chef's Special Thunder. Alicia and I both thought there must be an abundance of flatulence problems in the kitchen if they are so eager to share it with the patrons.

For a brief moment we felt like we had all experienced some kind of Honey I Shrunk The Kids shrink ray.

Once we had all returned to normal size we dropped Paige home and then set out for Downtown Disney. So did everyone else. We gave up on that idea and hit up Uno. They don't just have tables for one there.

Carlos was suddenly hungry enough to down a steak. Alicia and I decided to DFEM. I told the waiter I was on a weird dessert diet. He laughed like he thought I was joking.

We were so keen to start our meal we had to take our foodie photos simultaneously.

It was a head to head battle as we shared

and then inspected our food.

Stay tuned for bunches of photos of me with flowers at the Epcot Flower and Garden Festival.

Disney (There Ain't No Party Like A Disney Party)

There ain't no party like a Disney's Hollywood Studios cast party. And there ain't no attendees like two ICPs. The only two Aussie Pizza Planetears, Alex and I, were unsure of the value in attending a cast party. So here I'll disclose the true cost of attending such a shindig.

Food: free. Drinks: free. Dessert (most important meals of the day): free.

Prizes won on the dance floor, competing against hundreds* of other cast members: a few calories and a little bit of dignity.

A photo with the only Hollywood couple that can keep it together and photos with their pal: an entirely exhausting 2 minutes waiting in lines.

Photos with the closest thing we could find to a green alien - a green alien: obviously the time and financial cost of space travel.

Balloons: slightly awkward bus ride home.

Individual cast members should determine whether they can afford to attend a cast party where they are likely to receive a stack of free stuff and bunches of fun.

*There were only about 6 other competitors on the dance floor, but that is not how history will remember the grand dance competition.
