A Magical Celebration

The first part of the Disney magic of my birthday was having the day off. I woke up that morning to discover the birthday decorating ninjas had paid a visit just outside my bedroom door. There were decorations and cupcakes.

Then I spent the day with Crystal and Anna. We shopped at the outlets. They bought shoes for work, but I was already given shoes so I bought pretty joggers.

I bought them from the Nike outlet where the staff broke out into a bit of a chant and dance circle.

Crystal also shouted me some ice-cream and fudge.

We all went to Hollywood Studios and I got a birthday button.

Then we jumped on the Tower of Terror. Our front row seats were much more terrifying than any of us had anticipated.

We calmed ourselves down by watching The Voyage of The Little Mermaid.

Then we decided to hop on a boat and sail across to the Boardwalk.

Anna shouted me dinner, bought me a birthday pin,

there were fireworks all over the place

and then the three of us ventured on our own journey "into the woods" as we took the long way to get to the bus stop.

Training Day(s)

The sun has not been up when I've been getting up and the cold bothers me enough to want a warm hug. But the best part about super early mornings is the time in the afternoon. The time to explore!

So far I've explored the Magic Kingdom.

Cariena and I met Tink who was very confused about her extra eyes on my jumper.

I caught a parade.

I even joined an incredible dance party twice.

And today I attended the best orientation ever! The tour around my home park, Hollywood Studios, included a Disney style history lesson and a trip on The Great Movie Ride. Each day I'm discovering there really is more than that provincial life.

The Education Adventure Begins...

If you're going to do the Disney College Program and want to be surprised on your first day of training, stop reading. Seriously, stop. No, really, stop. Trust me, you want to be surprised.
I know I said I was on a lifelong hiatus from study, but I apparently lied because today I went to the best tertiary institute ever... Disney University!

We learnt some stuff about Disney and scored ourselves a super awesome fashion accessory. Here's housie Cariena and I with our brand new headwear.

We even went on a class excursion to the Magic Kingdom.

At the end of class a secret visitor, who you might say was as quiet as a mouse, delivered something special... Our name tags.

That was the end of Day One at Disney University.

My New Work Location Is...

Unless this is your first time playing along at home, you'll know I have a new job at Walt Disney World. And you'll also know it's a quick service food and beverage role. But where exactly is this speedy food and bev role taking me?
*** Drum Roll ***
I'm going to be a Pizza Planeteer at Pizza Planet in Hollywood Studios. I've conducted the necessary Google searches and discovered it is indeed a pizza restaurant that also sells a few other items and has indoor and outdoor seating and a whole bunch of arcade games.
    To Pizza Planet and beyond!

50 Shades of Green

Now this is a story all about how my life got flip turned upside down. I'll only take a minute, just sit right there. I'll tell you all about life inside Chatham Square.

The interior decorators of our apartment were certainly keen on green.

My housies and I of course added to the emerald city.
