Days with Paige

Paige looks and sounds nothing like me, but is coincidentally my American twin.

Our favourite pastime is dessert. Sometimes we DFEM (Dessert For Every Meal).

Here is a sample (unfortunately it's only visual) of some of our more recent desserts.

Pee-can pie or Pe-con pie, depending on who you ask.

If every hidden Mickey was a dessert I would be sure to find them all.

We developed descriptive names for every day of the week.
Melancholy Mondays
Typical Tuesdays
Waffle Wednesdays
Theatrical Thursdays
Frizzy Fridays (I often catch my hair celebrating this day of the week.)
Sassy Saturdays
Simple Sundays

It all started because we realised we would be saying goodbye to some fellow College Program Pizza Planetears, including Francis (in the middle). It was quite a Melancholy Monday.

We attend farewell parties, for friends like Ramon, thrown by Darth Vader.

Who also enjoys moonlighting as Princess Vader...

and Dope Vader.

We've even been adopted into each other's families. When my sister and Carlos came, Paige was my sister. Now that her aunties (Cindy, Becca, Kim and Barb are here) I'm the adopted niece (with a weird accent).

They were kind enough to include me in their dinner reservation at San Angel at faux Mexico in Epcot.

Paige and I have spent this Sassy Saturday apart, but are looking forward to a Simple Sunday at Pizza Planet.

Happily Ever Alone: A Single's Guide to Valentine's at Disney

It's the most romantical time of the year. So how can the #foreveralones make the most of the couples' occasion?

Anticipate the holiday and buy your own Valentine's cupcakes.

Have a super awesome roomie called Kenzie who buys punderful chocolates for the whole apartment.

Celebrate in super sexy red attire.

Have a thoughtful work colleague who gives lollipops to his fellow Pizza Planeteers.

You can also feel like a celebrity when a teenage boy asks you to sign his autograph book while you're casually pushin trays.

It also helps if you can find a family with cute children who give Disney cast members cute cards.

A sister who buys you gifts will make you feel loved.

But probably don't third wheel with your sister and her husband at the most Magical Kingdom.

Take a gal pal with you.

There's no still no shame in also posing alone.

Watching sparkly fireworks in front of a super pretty castle and then a parade with twinkly lights can help brighten your mood.

You might even be lucky enough to be singled out by a special someone while you just feel like another person in the crowd.

Happy Valentine's Day to every single one of you.

Publix & 4 Parks in 1 Day

Once again Paige and I briefly spoke about an idea and had to do it almost immediately. The idea? 4 parks in 1 day. We completely ignored the fact Paige will be here until May, I'll be here until at least June and the parks aren't exactly taking off any time soon either.

The first roadblock in our adventure was the daily need for nourishment. We headed to Publix for groceries. It was a much more magical experience than shopping at Walmart.

To qualify for the #4parksin1day we have to do a ride, photo and snack in each park. Many people warily wished us luck with our endeavours. Would we qualify for the ultimate Disney hashtag?

We were at Animal Kingdom from 1pm to 2:15pm,

rode Expedition Everest,

got a photo with the tree icon

and split two scrumptious Kusafari cupcakes.

I may have gotten green icing all over my face, but the momentary uncleanliness was worth it.

Our next stop was Hollywood Studios from 2:35pm to 4:10pm.

We headed straight for the Rock 'N' Roller Coaster with a brief pit stop at the restrooms on the way. It was our only time to sit and let it go with our tight schedule.

I got myself a chocolate caramel popcorn snack

and because the hat has had its final take we got a photo with the Tower icon.

After travelling to Hollywood Studios via bus and excessive walking/running we decided our #4parksin1day required #5typesoftransportin1day. We rode the boat to Epcot.

We were at Epcot from 4:40pm to 6pm. We bought ice-cream in France,

lived with the land. Lettuce look at some of the photos I took.

And got a photo with a huge ball.

Our voyage to the Magic Kingdom required 3 modes of transport. Brisk walking, monorail

and ferry.

Paige and I paraded around our 4th park from 6:45pm. Would there be sufficient time for the obligatory snack, ride and photo combo?

We got our iconic castle photo,

had fries dipped in America's obsession - strange cheese.

And rode on the Big Thunder Mountain Railroad. As far as rickety railways go, this was a great way to travel.

Our goal had been achieved. Of course we would achieve our goal. I can't believe you ever doubted us. And because I'm an over achiever from way back we threw in a few more rides for good measure.  Paige and I hit up the fastest tea cup, which was possibly the most wild ride, before realising the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train had the shortest wait time ever.

We also happened up jump on right around Wishes fireworks time, so had a pretty fabulous view. Then when we got off the ride we were surrounded by sparkles in the sky.

Following the fireworks we stepped straight onto Pooh before grabbing some hot drinks and sitting down to watch Disney's parade with its lights off.

I pranced around the compass points waiting for the castle to give us a "Kiss Goodnight".

Finally Paige and I danced our way down Main Street and out of the park by 11:15pm. We had done it. The ultimate Disney hashtag - #4parksin1day.
