Day two began with an epic sleep in before the visiting the most talked about New Orleans tourist destination - Cafe Du Monde.
There existed only three downsides. The teeny, tiny water glasses, the powdered mess of sugar and our particular server.
At this point Nicki Minaj might ask, "What's good?"
The beignets.
They're good, but not great. I don't regret my time spent with the powdered pastries though.
Kyra, Anna, Hannah and I took a stroll down by the river.
Lunch was eaten gazing onto the famous waterway.
On our fatigued journey back to farewell Hannah and nap we spotted stoops in sweet side streets.
Our naps lasted slightly longer than expected. Then we were well rested and ready to take on the town.
The forage for food began just before 11pm. It was a little surprising to discover most restaurants shut.
Then we found Pier 424.
Our initial concerns of eating on bustling Bourbon Street were alleviated as we stepped through the door.
We found some serious culinary delights. The pecan crusted fish wasn't just good. Oh my foodness, it was simply divine.
Then it was time for a piña colada.
Thankfully there was no getting caught in the rain.
On our way to a karaoke bar we stopped by Bandstand. We were about to become regulars at both nightspots.
The Cats Meow karaoke stage begged Kyra and I to sing.
Our rendition of "What Makes You Beautiful" provided more entertainment value than vocal talent. We did find ourselves some Irish groupies though.
After our artistic onstage explosion we wandered back to Bandstand, but it was too late to explode over their floor. We began heading back to our hotel, but decided to drop in on the little bar across the street.
One patron requested a Lana Del Ray number, so then Kyra, Anna and I decided to continue the requests. "Build Me Up Buttercup" and "I Want It That Way" have never sounded so angelic.
After knocking out a few dope dance moves to "1,2 Step" we called it a night (or very early morning). Our super swanky hotel suite welcomed us back ahead of another day brimming with fascinating adventure and eccentricity.

So many great moments caught on camera. Love the photos.
