Dapper Date

Twice a year there is an event called Dapper Day. Ever since I heard about it I wanted to attend. I guess the mouse didn't get the memo and scheduled me to work during the latest one. Rather than being bitter, I thought of something better. 

Let's make a new date for Dapper Day, even if only two people attend. The guest list was very exclusive - just Kyra and I. 

Kyra attended a one person party on the porch. 

While Cluedo found their newest character. Was it Lady Claryse in the kitchen with the kettle?

Our fancy garb garnered looks of bewilderment and fascination. We spent the afternoon fielding questions. "Where are you off to? Function? Wedding? Party tonight?" 

We just wanted to get dressed up with no place to go. Call me crazy, but I've always wanted to do that. 

We found a place at the Beach Club. Beaches and Cream, to be specific. 

We ate burgers and shared dessert from a goblet. 

Kyra did a quick photoshoot for her show. 

Then we headed off to Martha's Vineyard for cocktails. 

It was 5 o'clock after all. 

We tried driving home, but didn't get too far. 

Apparently you're supposed to watch the road while driving. 

Hanging off the side of the vehicle is also frowned upon. 

After our plans failed we decided Transtar would have to do, except we saw the bus pull up at the stop before we could get there. 

I did not want to wait 40 minutes for the next bus. 

Turns out we didn't have to. The chauffeur spotted us walking, pulled over and told us to get in.
