The Hap-Happiest Season of All

After a day spent at Universal Studios it was time for Christmas dinner at Maya Grill in Coronado Springs.

Kyra and I exchanged Christmas presents.

I received some adorable, little bow earrings.

I think Kyra was impressed with her gifts.

A third wheel was introduced to our weekly dates.

One of the managers of the restaurant, Riley, was walking around and noticed our gift exchange and was a little bit jealous. I offered him a candle that was sitting on our table, but apparently he already had 80 of them.

I ordered a piña colada. I've had a lot over my time at Disney and that was number one on the list of worst piña coladas.

Kyra and I each ate a fajita skillet,

which exceeded our expectations.

Our meals were of course followed by dessert. The coconut flan was a delectable delight. The fancy chocolate stick that came with it was simply divine.

I even had leftovers. The bag had some spare room in it, so I also took the plate, cutlery, a candle and 3 chairs.

Kyra and I chose not to have Christmas trees in our apartments, but put up one at Maya Grill instead. We really outdid ourselves decorating this one.

After a few family portraits in front of our Christmas tree with our new friends Mr Trooper and Riley it was past time to leave.

We were supposed to find our way to the bus stop, but stumbled across the super fancy Rix Lounge.

We couldn't resist a few fancy photos.

Then came the mandatory boogie in a space that wasn't exactly designed as a dance floor.

After a trip through the Coronada Springs lobby

we finally made it to the bus stop to travel back to our apartments.

The Most Wonderful Time of the Year

Nizzy and my nerdy alter ego found a universe of fun on Christmas Day.

I was a casual Universal hero.

Then we walked straight into a white Christmas.

We devoured a delightful Christmas lunch at The Three Broomsticks.

Nizzy thoroughly enjoyed the corn.

Our meals accompanied by our last taste of Butterbeer.

Then it was time to cast some spells.

The Hogwarts Express took us right over to London.

A British boy with genuine safety concerns about the lack of seatbelts will surely be a future Disney cast member.

Nizzy and I watched some new friends parade past.

One of them even liked my glasses.

After weaving through the streets

we reached the Christmas tree.

Scooby Doo wished us a Merry Christmas.

Then it was time to be unimpressed with Beetlejuice's Graveyard Revue.

After a brief Christmas celebration in Springfield

we attacked some aliens as the woMen in Black.

Then our time at Universal was over, but Christmas wasn't. You can read about my festive dinner adventures in the next blog post.
