Kyra and I were to determined to watch a live NFL game. It didn't seem promising, but one month before the end of our Disney College Programs, housing said they were going, so we said we'd go too.
It was the Tampa Bay Buccaneers vs the New Orleans Saints. We had to ride a Transtar bus, but this one was more like a coach. It even had televisions and we watched Inside Out on the way to Tampa.
There was a slight roadblock when we arrived.
But everything was fine after a 20 point turn.
We hopped off the bus and walked past some people tailgating.
I'm pretty sure that's just when you eat and drink before a game.
We finally reached the stadium.
We were given flags on the way in. They really just looked like tiny jerserys for tiny people on sticks.
The stadium looked a lot like others I've visited, except for one thing. There was a pirate ship.
After a footlong hot dog and fries it was time to for me to really watch the game.
Time to watch, but not exactly understand. Kyra knew exactly what was going on, but I was like a year one student trying to do a year 12 exam.
I knew when to cheer because of the Saitnts fans next to us. It was a friendly rivalry.
It wasn't looking good for the Bucs, but then we scored a touchdown. Not once, but twice.
The Saints won, but the Bucs tried.
Except those times near the end when they dropped the ball. Literally. Even though they didn't always have the ball, Kyra and I had a ball. It was totally worth trading a shift so I would work ten days in a row... Actually I only just finished day 7, so we'll see how I feel in 3 days.
